WHOLE-BODY PELVIC HEALTH CARE

Your body is telling a story. We're trained to read the whole thing.

Most pelvic health clinics focus on the pelvic floor alone. But pain, leaks, and dysfunction rarely happen in isolation.

We look at three connected layers. What's happening in the pelvic floor itself, the muscles, nerves, ligaments, and fascia. What's happening in the neighborhood around it, the hips, spine, core, feet, and thorax. And what's happening across the whole system, the nervous system, hormones, lifestyle, and behaviors that shape how your body responds.

When you evaluate all three, patterns emerge. Connections that other providers miss become clear. And that's where real, lasting progress begins.

WHAT WE TREAT

Care designed to see the full picture

Pelvic Pain Management

You've seen nine providers. You've tried the pills, the injections, the surgeries. And you're still in pain. We help people with complex, long-standing pelvic pain find real relief through advanced manual therapy and whole-body treatment.

Dry Needling

From TMJ and spinal pain to pelvic floor tension, we offer some of the most advanced dry needling in the state. Dr. Emily holds specialized certifications in orofacial, spinal, and pelvic floor dry needling that very few providers in Maryland carry.

Orthopedic Physical Therapy

Hip labral tears, running injuries, foot and ankle pain. Because the body is a kinetic chain, we often treat orthopedic conditions alongside pelvic health. Sometimes the knee is the reason you're leaking. We find the connection others miss.

Pregnancy & Birth Prep

Personalized care that goes beyond standard prenatal PT. We prepare your body for labor, teach positioning techniques to support delivery, and bring your partner into the process so you both feel confident and ready.

Postpartum Care

Postpartum is forever. Whether you're six weeks out or six years, we treat C-section scar complications, diastasis recti, prolapse, incontinence, and everything in between. This is not textbook pelvic floor PT. This is real recovery.

Men’s Pelvic Health

Post-prostatectomy recovery, pudendal neuralgia, chronic prostatitis. Pelvic health issues in men are more common than most people think, and they deserve the same level of expert, judgment-free care. Private rooms. Experienced providers. Real results.

Bladder & Bowel Dysfunction

If you've been told this is just part of aging, or just something you have to live with, that's not true. Bladder and bowel issues are treatable. And physical therapy should have been your first stop, not your last resort.

What if someone actually listened to the whole story?

Maybe you've been told your pain is normal. That leaking after kids is just something you deal with. That there's nothing left to try.

Maybe you've seen provider after provider and walked away feeling like no one connected the dots. Like your symptoms were treated in pieces instead of as a whole.

You're not crazy. And you are not out of options.

Paradigm Pelvic Health was built for the people who have been everywhere else and still don't have answers. We treat complex cases with the precision, patience, and clinical depth they actually require. And we don't stop until things start making sense.

WHY PARADIGM PELVIC HEALTH

This is pelvic health care of a different model.

PRINCIPLES OVER PROTOCOLS

No two bodies are alike, so no two treatment plans look alike. Every plan is built around you, your history, and your goals with our full, undivided attention.

BOARD-CERTIFIED SPECIALISTS

Our providers hold nationally recognized certifications in both orthopedics and pelvic health. That rare dual expertise is what allows us to connect the dots between symptoms that other clinics evaluate separately.

ONGOING COMMUNICATION

We don't believe in "discharging" you and hoping for the best. We gradually back off the frequency and stay in touch as your life changes. When something new comes up, we're a phone call away.

Dr. Emily Priestas, DPT, OCS, PRPC, CMTPT-DN, PCES with long brown hair, smiling, wearing a black sleeveless top and black pants, sitting on a clear chair, with her left hand resting on her knee, in front of a plain beige wall.

Hi, I'm Dr. Emily. I started Paradigm because I kept watching patients carry symptoms that were treated in pieces instead of as a whole. As a board-certified specialist in both orthopedics and pelvic health, I saw how often pain, leaks, and dysfunction were deeply connected. And how life-changing it was when someone took the time to connect the dots.

So I built a practice where complex cases are welcomed. Where intimate conversations are handled with skill and respect. And where improving pelvic health means protecting your ability to exercise, to move without fear, to experience intimacy without pain, to show up fully in your life.

Questions We Hear All the Time

  • Paradigm is an out-of-network provider. After each session, we provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Most patients receive 50-100% reimbursement. We also accept HSA and FSA payments.

  • Nope. Maryland is a direct access states, which means you can come straight to us without a physician referral.

  • Not at all. We also treat a wide range of orthopedic issues. Dr. Emily is a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS), and dry needling is available as part of your care.

  • Yes. Nursing and feeding during your appointment is always welcome. We also have a waiting area for family members or older children.

  • Treatment while on your period is a decision left solely up to you. While we understand that the nature of our appointments can make this seem like a definite “No!”, we are still able to treat patients during menstruation or focus only on external techniques and exercises during that particular session. However, if this is something you are not comfortable with, we can reschedule your appointment to a more appropriate time.
